Technical Information

Directions:

Melt & Pour Soap: Pour the melted soap into the mold at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Allow it to cool until the soap has hardened. Then, remove the soap from the mold and wrap the soap immediately after unmolding. For easier unmolding, feel free to place the mold into the freezer for 30 minutes, and then immerse the bottom of the mold in hot water for a few moments. Do not use cooking spray to coat the inside of the mold before pouring in your soap mixture.

Cold Process Soap: Coat your mold with cooking spray or line with plastic. Pour your soap at trace into mold, and after 24 hours, flip the mold over onto a clean surface. Gently push the back of the mold until the soap begins to release, then pull the soap out of the mold while wearing gloves. Next, allow your soap to cure for 4-8 weeks. Some Cold Process soap recipes may require a week to harden enough to remove from the mold. If this is the case, we recommend adding an ingredient like sodium lactate to your recipe to assist with creating a harder bar quicker.

Lotion Bars: Pour your melted lotion bar mixture into the mold cavities at a temperature no hotter than 135ºF. Then, allow your mixture to solidify. After your mixture has solidified, flip the mold over onto a clean surface and gently push the back of the mold until the lotion bar begins to release, before pulling the bar out of mold.

Care: Wash the mold in warm, sudsy water. Avoid using a dishwasher to clean your molds as it can lead to warping or make the mold brittle.
