Liquid Germall Plus Preservative is a broad spectrum antimicrobial preservative which is compatible with virtually all cosmetic ingredients for use in personal care and household products where extended shelf life is desired. Liquid Germall Plus is a patented combination of Germall II and IPBC pre-dissolved in Propylene Glycol for ease of use. This combination exhibits a synergistic preservative effect, which reduces the total active preservative level necessary; provides for complete, broad spectrum preservation against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold. It is composed of Diazolidinyl Urea, 3-Iodo-2-propylbutylcarbamate, and less than 1% Propylene Glycol.  Specially formulated to work at low usage levels of .1% to .5% by weight.

  • A combination of Germall Plus and IPBC pre-dissolved in Propylene Glycol provides for complete, broad spectrum preservation against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeast, and mold.
  • Clear viscous liquid with a mild odour
  • Germall Plus is heat sensitive and should be added to the water phase or to the emulsified portion of the formulation at a temperature of 140°F (60°C) or below, during the cool down stage, generally prior to the addition of fragrance. Adding Germall Plus above 140°F (60°C) could result in compromising the preservative system in your product.
