Citricidal Grapefruit Seed Extract is derived from the seeds and membrane of organically grown grapefruit and has shown to have effective broad spectrum anti-microbial properties, making it an excellent choice for those looking for natural preservative options.  Grapefruit Seed Extract contains natural antibacterial, antimicrobial, & antifungal properties which can be used as an effective preservative in a wide range of personal care products but is not on its own a full spectrum preservative.  We recommend using a secondary preservative if looking for wider protection, such as Potassium Sorbate.
