This recipe makes 4 oz total and fills two 2 oz Silver Shallow Screw Top Metal Tin.

Ingredients (for 4 oz / approx. 120 g):

• 48 g Unrefined Shea Butter
• 24 g Camellia Seed Oil
• 24 g Argan Oil
• 12 g White Beeswax Pastilles
• 11g Chamomile Floral Water (9%)
• 1 g Geogard ECT (1%)

Tools Needed:

  • Digital scale
  • Double boiler or heatproof bowl over saucepan
  • Thermometer (digital or infrared)
  • Heatproof glass beaker or small stainless pitcher
  • Stirring spatula or spoon
  • Sanitized 2 oz Silver Shallow Screw Top Metal Tin
    (x2)
  • Paper towel or cloth for wiping spills

Directions

Step 1: Clean and sanitize all tools and tins. Have everything measured and ready to go — salves set quickly once cooled.

Step 2: Add beeswax and unrefined shea butter to a heatproof bowl or beaker.
Place it in a double boiler and gently heat to around 70–75°C (158–167°F) until fully melted. Do not overheat.

Step 3: Once melted, remove from heat and let the temperature cool to 65°C (149°F).
Stir in camellia and argan oils. Mix well.

Step 4: Let the mixture cool to 40–45°C (104–113°F). Add chamomile floral water slowly while stirring continuously to help it blend thoroughly.

Step 5: When your mixture is at below 40°C (104°F), add Geogard ECT and stir for a full minute to evenly blend. (Never add Geogard above 45°C, or it may reduce effectiveness.)

Step 6: Once the mixture reaches a thicker but still pourable texture (around 35–38°C), pour into your two 2 oz Silver Shallow Screw Top Metal Tins. Avoid pouring when very hot to prevent sweating, cracking, or sinking.

Step 7: Let sit at room temperature without lids for at least 2–3 hours until completely cool and solidified. Once set, close lids and label.

Packaging Ideas
• Silver tins with kraft or white round labels

Warning & Care
