DIY- Oily Hair Dry Shampoo

A fluffy, oil-absorbing dry shampoo that refreshes your hair between washes. Infused with our Hair – Oily Essential Oil Blend (Lemon, Cedarwood, Rosemary), it leaves hair feeling clean, voluminous, and lightly scented — no water needed! Perfect for quick touch-ups or giftable DIY fun.

Recommended Ingredients:

(makes 1x 6 oz / 170 g shaker jar)

  • Arrowroot Powder – 87 g
  • Natrasorb Bath Powder – 7 g
  • Kaolin Clay – 13 g
  • Silk Powder – 7 g
  • Hair – Oily Essential Oil Blend – 20–25 drops   

Recommended Utensils:

  • Clean, dry mixing bowl
  • Spoon or small whisk
  • 6 oz shaker jar (or any dry, airtight container)
  • Measuring scale
  • Funnel 

Directions:

  • Step1: Combine the powders: In a clean, dry bowl, mix arrowroot, Natrasorb, kaolin clay, silk powder, until fully blended.


  • Step 2: Add essential oil: Drop in 20-25 drops of Hair – Oily EO Blend and stir thoroughly to evenly distribute scent.


  • Step 3: Transfer to jar: Use a funnel to fill the powder into your shaker jar. Tap lightly to settle.


Usage:

  • Shake lightly onto oily roots and scalp.
  • Let sit 2–3 minutes to absorb oil.
    Massage with fingers or brush through to blend and remove excess powder.
  • Reapply lightly as needed.


Warnings:

  • Avoid inhaling large amounts of powder.
  • Keep out of reach of children.
  • Do not apply directly to broken or irritated scalp.
  • Patch test essential oil if you have a sensitive scalp.
