Ingredients:

Equipment

  • Makes 2 x 8 oz Bottles with Pump or 1 x 16 oz Bottle with Pump
  • Choose your favourite Glass or Plastic Bottle 
  • Measuring / Mixing Cup
  • Spatula / whisk
  • Funnel (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Pour the Liquid Hand Soap Base into a clean measuring cup or mixing vessel.
  2. In a separate small mixing cup, combine the essential oils with Polysorbate 20 and stir thoroughly until uniform. Pre-blending improves solubilization, helping to reduce the likelihood of separation and minimize cloudiness in the finished product.
  3. Slowly add the scent blend to the soap base, stirring gently with a spatula or low-shear whisk until fully incorporated. Avoid high-shear mixing, as this can introduce excess air and create foaming that may take time to settle.
  4. Allow the finished soap to rest briefly before packaging so any entrapped air bubbles can dissipate and clarity can be confirmed.
  5. Once settled, pour into clean bottles and cap securely.

• Stir gently during incorporation to minimize aeration, foaming, and excess bubbles.

• Allow the finished soap to rest briefly after mixing to ensure full solubilization before packaging.

• If adjusting scent strength, increase essential oils or fragrance oils incrementally and remain within recommended dermal usage levels. Adjust Polysorbate 20 proportionally to maintain proper solubilization and clarity.
