Recommended Ingredients:
Makes 3
Dry Ingredients:
- 135g Baking Soda
- 65g Citric Acid
- 15g Cornstarch
- 10g Cream of Tartar
- 15g Milk Powder
- 10g Finely Ground Oats
- 10g Lathanol
Wet Ingredients:
- 10g Almond Butter
- 7g Sweet Almond Oil
- 5g Polysorbate 80
- 10x drops Vanilla Oil
- 5x drops Benzaldehyde Oil
Recommended Utensils:
- 1x Mixing Bowl
- 1x Glass measuring Cup
- Bee and Honeycomb Milky Way Mold
- 1x small spray bottle containing distilled Water
- Scale
- Large Sifter
- Small Sifter or Powder Sprayer
- Stainless Steel Heavy Gauge Soap Cutter
- Gloves
-
Facemask(optional)
Directions:
- Step 1: Combine the baking soda, cornstarch, cream of tartar, and milk powder in a bowl, weighing and sifting each one for a smooth blend. Carefully add the Lathanol directly, avoiding sifting to prevent it from becoming airborne. Set the citric acid aside for later.
- Step 2: Add the finely ground oats to the bowl.
- Step 3: Carefully pour in the sweet almond oil followed by the Polysorbate 80 into the bowl.
- Step 4: Measure the almond butter into a microwave-safe bowl. Gently heat it in the microwave until it's fully liquefied, stirring occasionally to avoid overheating. Once melted, mix it into the bowl.
- Step 5: Gently add the vanilla oil and benzaldehyde oil. Mix everything together until perfectly blended.
- Step 6: Now add the citric acid to the mixture and give it a good stir until everything is well combined.
- Step 7: To test your bath bomb mix, press a small amount in your hand and drop it into a bowl. If it holds without crumbling, it's ready to mold. If it falls apart, gently spray a little bit of water and try again.
- Step 8: Press the bath bomb powder firmly into the mold, ensuring you fill in all the details at the bottom. This helps keep the details intact when you release it from the mold.
- Step 9: Firmly press the mix into the mold until full, using your palm for an even finish. Focus on one cavity at a time for easier unmolding and a perfect Bath Bomb every time.
- Step 10: Trim away any extra bath bomb mix using a knife or soap cutter. Keeping the back flat helps ensure your bath bomb stays intact while drying.
- Step 11: To prepare for unmolding your bath bombs, clear a space where they can sit undisturbed for 24 hours. Alternatively, place some cardboard underneath to easily transfer them to a drying area. When ready, swiftly flip the mold upside down onto a flat surface to release the bath bomb. Gently lift the mold diagonally, avoiding any sideways movement to prevent damage. Repeat this process until you've used all the mixture.
- Step 12: Add a touch of sparkle to your bath bombs by dusting them with Egyptian Gold Mica. Use a powder sprayer or small sifter for an even shimmer.
- Step 13: Let your bath bombs dry for a full 24 hours to ensure they're perfect. Once they're ready, package them up to keep them safe from humidity, preserving their fizzy goodness. As these bath bombs are made with natural vanilla oil, you might notice some browning over time. This is a normal part of the experience and doesn't affect their quality.

Humidity:
Humidity can cause Bath Bomb mix to become tricky. We prefer working with this recipe between 30% to 50% humidity.
We also found that adding clay to the recipe can help at a higher humidity. If the mix activates , try adding a little bit of clay .
This recipe was tested at 48% humidity in a room temperature of 19.2 degrees. We highly recommend working in a space with a humidifier.
If for some reason the Bath Bombs do crumble , do not throw out the mix(or any leftovers from making Bath Bombs, rather package it and sell it as a Bath Bomb powder).
