Makes 4x 4.5ml Lip Balm Tubes

Recommended Ingredients:

Optional tint:Β

  • cocoa powder
  • Opal Mint Bio-Glitter Pure

Recommended Utensils:

  • Heat Safe Measuring Cup
  • Scale
  • Thermometer
  • Small whisk or Stick to Stir
  • 4.5 ml / 0.15 oz Lip Balm Tube with Cap

Let’s Make Lip Balm!

  • Step 1: Ask an adult to help with this part!Β In a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water (or use a double boiler),Β melt your beeswax, shea butter, and oil. Stir until everything is smooth and melted.

  • Step 2:Β Take your bowl off the heat and let it cool down to below 60Β°C or 140Β°F(so the scent doesn't disappear!).Now stir in your Vitamin E, flavor, and color or shimmer if you're using any.

  • Step 3:Β Carefully pour the mix into your clean lip balm tubes. Use a pipette or tiny funnel if you don’t want any spills (it’s like a science lab!).

  • Step 4: Let your lip balms cool for about 30 minutes. Once they’re firm, pop the caps on and decorate with a fun label if you want!

How to Use Your Lip Balm:

  • Twist the lid off and roll up the balm just a little.
  • Gently apply to your lips β€” like coloring them in.
  • Close the cap when you're done to keep it clean.
  • Use anytime your lips feel dry or need a little care!Β

Lip Balm Safety Tips:

  • Only use lip-safe colors and flavors (never spicy or citrus oils).
  • Ask an adult if you’re not sure about anything.
  • Do a tiny test on your arm first if you’ve never used the ingredients.
  • Store in a cool place β€” if it melts, just put it in the fridge to fix it!
