Makes 2 x Peach Gummy Ring Soap Sticks
What You’ll Need:
- 6 g Sugar (for the scrub!)
- 48 g Melt & Pour Soap Base (Suspending Stephenson or any other melt and pour soap base)
- 4 g Mango Butter (makes it soft on skin)
- 4 g Glycerin (helps the sugar mix in)
- 2 g Peachy Keen Fragrance Oil
- 4 drops Lime Essential Oil (optional, for a sour kick)
- 0.15CC scoop of Pink Flamingo Mica
- 0.15CC scoop of Super Sparkle Mica - White Diamonds
- Small amount of Isopropyl Alcohol (to mix mica into)
- 2x Jumbo Lip Balm Tubes (0.5 oz each)
- 2 Microwave‑Safe Measuring Cups
- A Kitchen Scale
- Spoon or Stir Stick
- 2x small mixing cups
- Microwave
- Adult helper for hot soap!
Let’s Make Soap Sticks!
Step 1: Melt the Soap
-
Chop your soap base into small chunks, measure mango butter and glycerin. Put it all together in a microwave‑safe cup and heat in 15‑20 second bursts. Stir until it’s fully melted. (Ask an adult to help—it’s hot!)
Step 2: Add Some Color & Sparkle!
-
Split your soap mix into 2 cups so you can make two colors. In a tiny mixing cup, spray a little rubbing alcohol (isopropyl alcohol). Stir in the mica powder until it looks smooth—this makes your color shiny! Do the same with the glitter in another little cup. Pour the colour into your two soap cups and stir to mix. Now your soap is ready to look like magical peach candy.
Step 3: Add the Sugar
-
Sprinkle in the sugar and stir well. It should look like sweet, scrubby peach candy!
Step 4: Make It Smell Amazing
-
Add Peachy Keen fragrance oil. Add Lime essential oil if you want that sour peach smell. Stir gently.
Step 5: Pour into Tubes
-
Carefully pour the 2 mixtures into the lip balm tubes.
Step 6: Cool and Twist!
-
Let your soap sticks cool and harden for 30–45 minutes. Once solid, put the caps on.
How to Use:
- Twist up the soap stick when you need to wash your hands.
- Rub it on your wet hands like a bar of soap to make bubbles.
- Rinse with water and dry your hands.
- Twist it back down and cap it so it’s ready for next time.
Perfect for:
- Traveling
- Camping
- School or sports
- Anytime you need soap but don’t have a bar or bottle!
Safety Tips
- Always ask an adult to help with hot soap and microwaves.
- External use only—don’t eat it, even if it smells yummy!
- If your skin feels irritated, rinse and stop using.
