What You’ll Need to Make Rose Cake Sugar Scrubs:
For the Scrub Base (cake Bottom):
- A grown-up to help you melt things!
- 15g Stephenson Shea Butter Melt and Pour Soap Base (like soft soap cubes that melt)
- 40g Avocado Oil (makes your skin feel super soft!)
- 100g Granulated Sugar (for sweet scrubbing)
- A tiny scoop (0.15cc) of Satin Orange Mica (for color)
- 2g Rose Cake Fragrance (smells like roses and cake!)
-
1g Phenoxyethanol (this keeps our Rose Cake Sugar Scrub fresh)
For the Frosting (the fun fluffy top!):
- 50g Mango Butter (creamy and smooth)
- 25g Avocado Butter (like lotion, but better!)
- 15g Arrowroot Powder (makes it feel less greasy)
- 2g Rose Cake Fragrance
- A tiny scoop (0.15cc) of Italiano Rose Mica (for a pretty color)
- A sprinkle of Super Sparkle Light Gold (for extra magic!)
- 1g Phenoxyethanol (to help keep it from going bad)
Tools & Utensils Needed:
- Heat-safe glass measuring cup
- Spatula and spoon
- electric hand mixer
- Piping bag with star tip
- Scale (for measuring ingredients)
- 0.15 cc mica scoop
- 5 oz Dessert Cups with Dome Lids
- Gloves
Let’s Get Baking (Just Kidding—No Oven Needed!):
- Step 1: Make the Scrub Base (The Cake Part!) Ask an adult to help melt the soap base in the microwave or over a warm pot (double boiler).
- Step 2: Pour in the avocado oil and give it a stir.
- Step 3: Add the rose cake fragrance, preservative (phenoxyethanol), and orange mica—stir until smooth!
- Step 4: Mix in the sugar. It should feel like wet sand at the beach—not too sticky or dry.
-
Step 5: Spoon the mixture into the cup and press it in nice and tight.
Time to Make the Frosting:
- Step 1: In a microwave-safe cup, let the mango and avocado butters soften (not melt!), using a microwave for about 20 seconds.
- Step 2: Whip them up afterwards using a hand mixer until they look like frosting—fluffy and fun!
- Step 3: Add arrowroot powder, fragrance, pink mica, and preservative—mix it all in!
- Step 4: Scoop the fluffy frosting into a piping bag with a fun tip.
- Step 5: Squeeze your frosting on top of the cake base like you're decorating a real cake!
- Step 6: Add sparkles or decorations if you want—just make sure they’re skin-safe! We used crushed Rose Petals and Glitter.
How to Use:
In the bath or shower, scoop off a piece of your Rose cake Sugar Scrub and gently scrub it onto your skin. Rinse well and enjoy how soft your skin feels!
Store your Rose cake Sugar Scrub in a cool, dry spot.
Remember: These look tasty but are just for your skin—don’t eat them!
Uh-oh! Fixing Sugar Scrub Problems:
Is your scrub too gooey or drippy? Just add a little more sugar and stir until it feels like soft, squishy sand. If it’s too dry or crumbly, mix in a tiny bit more oil to make it stick together better. If your soap part cools down too fast, ask an adult to help warm it up again so it melts nicely. For the frosting, if it’s too soft and melty to pipe, chill it in the fridge for a few minutes, then whip it again. If it’s too hard, let it warm up a bit and give it another mix. Always store your Sugar Scrubs in a cool, dry spot—and remember, don’t get water in the jar so they stay fresh and fabulous!
