  • Label Stickers or Markers – to decorate and name your creations
  • Tray or Baking Sheet – to place your finished bath treats while they dry

Directions:

  • Step 1: Measure out the Baking Soda, Milk Powder, Kaolin Clay, and Arrowroot Powder. These are your dry ingredients β€” scoop and weigh carefully!

Β

  • Step 2: Now measure your wet ingredients: Polysorbate 80, Avocado Oil, Watermelon Lemonade Fragrance, and Cocamidopropyl Betaine. Pour them into the dry mix and stir everything really well.

Β

  • Step 3: Add the Citric Acid to your bowl and mix again. This is what makes your bath shake fizz!

Β

  • Step 4: Scoop out 50g of your mix into a bowl. Add some Super Sparkle White Diamonds Mica and mix it in β€” this will be your sparkly white layer.

Β

  • Step 5: In another bowl, weigh out 150g of your mix. Add 1 scoop of blue and 1 scoop of yellow bath bomb colorant. Stir it all up β€” this will make a nice green.

Β

  • Step 6: If you want a fun look, split that green mix into two parts and add 1 more scoop of each color (blue and yellow) to just one of them. This will give you two shades of green!Β

Β

  • Step 7: In the rest of your mix, add your red colorant and Hot Pink Kisses powder. Stir really well β€” this will be your watermelon β€œflesh” layer. Let all three colored mixes (green, white, and pink) dry for at least 2 hours.

Β

  • Step 8: Once the mixes feel dry and crumbly (not sticky), start layering the green shades into your clear cup however you like!

Β

  • Step 9: Next, sprinkle in a thin layer of your white sparkle mix, then add the pink/red mix on top to look like watermelon flesh.

Β

  • Step 10: Now let’s make the frosting! Weigh out your Foaming Bath Whip, then add your color, fragrance, and a little Almond Oil.

Β

  • Β Step 11: Use a hand mixer to whip it all up until it’s fluffy like frosting. No need to heat it β€” just mix well!

Β

  • Step 12: Scoop the whipped soap frosting into a piping bag with a decorating tip using a spatula.

Β

  • Step 13: Pipe the frosting on top of your bath shake in a swirly circle, just like icing a cupcake.

Β

  • Step 14:Β Now it’s time to decorate! Add some poppy seeds or a fun soap embed on top.

Β

  • Step 15: For a fun final touch, draw watermelon seeds on the outside of the cup using a permanent marker. And that’s it β€” your Watermelon Bath Shake is ready to use or gift!

How to Use:

At bath time, unwrap your bath powder cup and sprinkle the fizzy base into warm bath water. It’ll fizz and smell amazing!

Then use the whipped top like a fun soap β€” scoop it up and rub it on your skin, or swish it through the water to make bubbles!

Warning:

  • Don’t eat it! It looks & smells yummy but is only for baths.
  • Ask an adult to help you.
  • Avoid your eyes and mouth.
  • Not for kids under 3.
  • Store in a cool, dry place until you're ready for tub time.

Humidity:

Humidity can cause Bath Bomb mix to become tricky. We prefer working with this recipe between 30% to 50% humidity.

We also found that adding clay to the recipe can help at a higher humidity. If the mix activates , try adding a little bit of clay .

This recipe was tested at 48% humidity in a room temperature of 19.2 degrees. We highly recommend working in a space with a humidifier.

If for some reason the Bath Bombs do crumble , do not throw out the mix(or any leftovers from making Bath Bombs, rather package it and sell it as a Bath Bomb powder).
