Titanium Dioxide - Water Dispersible
CP-O-TI-DIOX-WTR-227G
Titanium Dioxide Water Dispersible is a versatile white mineral pigment used to brighten and whiten soaps, cosmetics, and personal care products. Ideal for cold process soap, melt & pour soap, lotions, creams, and other water-based formulations, it provides excellent opacity and helps create a clean, bright white appearance. It can also be used to soften or lighten other colours, making it a useful ingredient for achieving delicate pastel shades in soaps and cosmetic formulations.
This water-dispersible grade blends easily into water-based mixtures, helping achieve smooth, even colour distribution throughout your finished products.
Cold Process Soap: Premix Titanium Dioxide Water Dispersible with a small amount of distilled water to create a smooth slurry before adding it to your soap batter. Blend thoroughly to ensure even colour distribution. Start with a small amount and gradually increase until the desired shade of white is achieved. Titanium Dioxide can also be used to lighten other colours or create soft pastel shades.
Melt & Pour Soap: Disperse Titanium Dioxide in a small amount of distilled water before adding it to melted soap base. Stir thoroughly to distribute the pigment evenly. Add gradually until the desired level of whiteness or opacity is achieved.
Lotions & Creams: Premix with a small amount of distilled water or an appropriate portion of the formulation's water phase. Mix thoroughly to ensure even dispersion before incorporating into your formulation. Use small amounts to brighten the appearance or adjust the colour of your finished product.
Other Water-Based Products: Titanium Dioxide can be incorporated into a variety of compatible water-based cosmetic and personal care formulations where a white colour or increased opacity is desired. For best results, disperse thoroughly before adding to the finished formulation.
Helpful Tips:
- Titanium Dioxide is water dispersible, not water soluble, and will not completely dissolve in water.
- Always premix to minimize clumping and help achieve even colour distribution.
- Begin with a small amount and increase gradually, as excessive use may result in a chalky appearance.
- In cold process soap, excessive amounts may contribute to glycerin rivers, particularly in formulations with high water content or those that experience significant heat during saponification.
- Always test in a small batch to determine the ideal usage rate for your formulation.
