Dragon's blood extract is derived from the resin of the Croton lechleri tree found in the Amazon rainforest. This tree produces a deep red resin that has been traditionally used by indigenous tribes for its medicinal and healing properties. Dragons Blood Extract is used in various skincare and cosmetic products for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and skin healing properties.

Dragon’s Blood Liquid Extract is water-soluble and can be incorporated into the cool-down phase of water-based cosmetic formulations, including facial serums, toners, creams, lotions, gels, masks, cleansers, shampoos and conditioners. Add directly to the formulation once it has cooled below 40°C and mix thoroughly until evenly dispersed.

Dragon’s Blood Liquid Extract has a naturally deep reddish-brown colour that may affect the appearance of the finished product or change depending on the formulation’s pH. Small-batch testing is recommended to confirm colour, compatibility and stability before proceeding with larger-scale production. This ingredient is not a preservative; products containing water require an appropriate broad-spectrum preservative.
