Lotions & Creams: 3-10%
Adds richness, softens dry skin, and enhances the emollient profile.
Often used alongside lighter oils or butters for a balanced feel.
Body Butters: 10–25%
Provides a smooth, creamy texture and long-lasting moisture. Can be used at higher levels for a deeply nourishing formula.
Lip Balms and Lipsticks: 5–15%
Helps condition and protect lips with a soft, buttery finish. Blends well with waxes and oils for a balanced balm.
Lotion Bars & Solid Balms: 10–30%
Adds body and glide while locking in moisture. Works well with cocoa or kokum butter to add firmness.

Shelf Life: Shea Butter should be stored in a sealed, airtight container in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and moisture, to maintain its quality and extend its shelf life. Ideal storage temperatures are between 15°C and 25°C (59°F to 77°F). Exposure to heat can cause the butter to melt and then re-solidify, which may result in a grainy texture. If this occurs, simply melt the butter gently, stir thoroughly, and allow it to solidify again in a cool environment. With proper storage, refined Shea Butter typically has a shelf life of up to three years.
