Not for Cold Process Soap!!

I’ve been using benzoin resin for years and love it. However, this has too much alcohol (hence the pourable mention) and immediately seizes your soap. I’ve been having issues for months and finally nailed it down to this. Not a happy camper with all my failed/stressful batches. Also, Benzoin is not an essential oil. It’s a resin.

I don't think it's for CP soap

Wow, what a CRAZY acceleration!!! I usually like to read reviews before purchasing any ingredients for my soaps. Decided to give this one a try because someone wrote it worked great for them. I do not recommend this for cp soap, as soon as I added my lye (didn't even have a chance to stir) it got so crazy thick I had to scoop it fast into my mold. Not sure I am going to use this soap now as I didn't have a chance to mix it.
Out of the bottle it didn't really have much of a scent. Not sure how it will behave in other products as I haven't tried anything else yet. So, one start is only for how it behaved in cp soap

Great fixative.

Makes a great fixative for perfumes and other body products. It has a faint beeswax smell which pairs nicely with most scents and is easily covered.

Makes EO's scents last.

I use it in CP soaps and don't have acceleration in coming to trace. It makes the EO's I use in CP soap last for up to a year. Love it..

Easy to use but no scent

While I appreciate the intent here, the benzoin is cut with DPG to the point of having barely any smell.
