Citronella Essential Oil is steam distilled from the leaves of Cymbopogon nardus, a tall aromatic grass native to tropical regions of Asia. Often referred to as Citronella Java or “managrass,” the grass is partially or fully dried before distillation to help develop its characteristic fresh, sharp citrus aroma with subtle green and woody undertones.

Widely used in personal care, home fragrance, and outdoor products, Citronella Essential Oil is valued for its bright, refreshing scent profile and its ability to naturally complement insect-repelling formulations. It blends especially well with Cedarwood, Eucalyptus, Lavender, Lemongrass, Peppermint, and Geranium Essential Oils for use in candles, sprays, soaps, and outdoor body products.

Citronella Essential Oil is commonly incorporated into cold process soap, lotion bars, body sprays, diffuser blends, room sprays, and wax melts where a clean citrus-herbal aroma is desired.

Directions: Use with caution, ensuring proper dilution before application to the skin. Citronella Essential Oil, when combined with Cedarwood Essential Oil, is particularly effective in creating insect-repelling candles and sprays.
Blends Well With: Geranium, Lemon, Bergamot, Orange, Cedarwood, Pine, and other essential oils.
