Extracted through steam distillation from the fruit of the litsea cubeba plant, this essential oil blends seamlessly with various oils, including lavender, basil, bergamot, petitgrain, rosemary, rosewood, ylang-ylang, and citrus scents. The small plant, native to East Asia, particularly China, features vibrant green leaves with a pleasant, lemony smell, producing small, pepper-like fruits from which the essential oil is derived.
