Perfumers Alcohol SD40-B 200 PROOF

Perfumers Alcohol SD40-B is commonly used in the creation of fragrance and personal care products such as perfumes, body sprays, room sprays, mists and facial toners. It helps dissolve and carry essential oils and fragrance oils, allowing for even scent distribution. It can be used on its own or combined with other ingredients to create your finished product.

As a general guideline, perfumes, colognes and Eau de parfum products often contain 70-95% Perfumers Alcohol, with the remaining percentage made up of fragrance or essential oils and any additional ingredients.

For body sprays or room sprays, lower concentrations of alcohol may be used, typically around 60–80%, depending on the formulation.

Facial products like toners typically contain much lower levels of alcohol, with concentrations ranging from as little as 0.5% up to 30%, depending on the formulation and intended skin type.

Some ingredients, especially heavier essential oils or water-based additives, may require a solubilizer for full clarity. Always test small batches first and store your finished product in suitable containers away from heat and direct sunlight.

• Process: Denatured with denatonium benzoate and tert-butyl alcohol. These components work together to ensure the alcohol is unfit for human consumption while still being usable in cosmetics, personal care products, and industrial applications.
